Latin Radio Stations

Listen To The Music

latin radio station djOne of the things that we encourage new Salsa dance students to do is to include in their daily life listening to Salsa Music on Latin radio stations or anywhere you can find Salsa.  Listen while you’re driving, cooking, cleaning, etc.  The reason for this is that it helps to train your ear for dancing.  It helps you to learn to hear the beat of the music and how that beat can be emphasized by different instruments.  This will help you when you are dancing, because it doesn’t matter or not whether you’ve ever heard a song before, you can still dance to it and stay on beat.  This may be hard to understand now, but you’ll understand it later if you begin listening now.

To find Salsa music, go to a service web site where you can build your own radio station:

 http://www.pandora.com

 http://www.iheartradio.com

Or you can choose a Latin radio station that streams Salsa music over the internet.  There are a lot of them.  Here are a few sample stations:

 http://lagranderadio.com/

 http://www.shoutcast.com/radio/Salsa

 http://tunein.com/radio/Salsa-g124/

 http://www.salsapower.com/cities/fl/radio.htm

Once you’ve identified some of your favorite songs or artists, then you may want to buy their music to support the Salsa music industry and have your own music collection on your iPhone or other music device.  You can search and download songs from:

iTunes or our affiliate link at Amazon Salsa Music

We’d like to list broadcast Latin radio stations that play Salsa music.  If you know of a Salsa broadcast radio station in your corner of the world, please click to Submit a new Latin / Salsa radio station to our list.  We’ll need the following:

City, State/Province and country of the station

Call letters of the station

Common name of the station

Other details are helpful, like the time of day that they play Salsa if it’s not 24×7.
